Additives are chemicals or natural substances that are added to packaged products to preserve flavor, color and maintain texture. This helps companies preserve their products to make them last longer on the shelf to avoid financial losses. There are safer ways to maintain freshness that don't put the customer's health
Some additives have been tested on animals where many of the results have not been very positive on the health of the animals. Some of the conditions that have been seen in these studies are: gastrointestinal problems, urinary incontinence, cancerous tumors and even death. Despite these studies, some additives are still used in food making it seem that they are not harmful to humans. They go around the results using certain percentages or quantities which they claim are not harmful. The problem is that most packages don't mention the quantity of additives and the percentage it has per serving. It is also not indicated if the additive can react with another additive or if it is water-soluble or fat-soluble to tell us if it remains in the body for long and is cumulative.
Currently there is no label that shows the amounts of additives per serving. A person could be consuming several additives in a single day or high amounts of the same additives. There is no such thing as a warning where it indicates the appropriate amounts that a person could consume depending on their weight, gender or age. The average person can handle a small amount of some toxins but remember that poison in any amount is still poison.
With our seal it will be easy for you to identify if a product is healthy. You won’t need to read the entire label with a magnifying glass or understand the list of ingredients. We will do this for you! Any product that we certify must contain ingredients that come from the earth, not a laboratory.
